We are looking for a talented Controls Engineer to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Components Business Segment in Huddersfield. This is a permanent contract working 35 hours per week. Monday – Friday 7.30am to 3pm. Salary is up to £41,700 depending on skills and experience. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Comprehensive knowledge applied to performing skilled activities which support manufacturing business needs. Works with relevant functions to select and utilize appropriate resources, tools, machinery, and specialty equipment. Thoroughly understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment. Acts as a formal resource leading and coordinating others. Quickly and effectively adapts to change in the manufacturing environment. Qualifications To be successful in this role you will need the following: · Apprentice trained. · Significant work experience and in-depth knowledge obtained through specialized training and relevant experience. · Controls Engineering Knowledge - Applies the application of controls hardware and software by specifying, reviewing, and approving company-owned and/or supplier designs for new or upgrades to existing equipment to interface with all levels of manufacturing systems. · Controls Networking - Implements new and improved technologies and methods capable of transferring information from multiple inputs either within a local production process or into databases to link machines together or to analyze the process for overall operation enhancements. · Controls System Security - Develops and implements Controls System Security by specifying, reviewing, and approving company-owned and/or supplier designs for new equipment or upgrades to existing equipment to ensure our manufacturing controls and systems are secure. · Electrical System Troubleshooting - Analyzes an electrical control system to resolve and repair electrical issues to return the system to proper operating conditions. · Factory Automation and Control Systems - Implements changes to further automate manufacturing processes using available technology, programming techniques, and identifying needed material and resources for project completion to provide the optimum automation for the manufacturing environment.
