Salary: £33,000 - £38,000 gross per year, depending on experience

PiLON is looking for a Social Value & ESG Advisor to drive meaningful change, ensuring we deliver meaningful initiatives that benefit both our clients and the communities we serve.

Main objectives of the role :
Develop and deliver impactful social value initiatives aligned with client expectations and industry best practice
Build strong relationships, ensuring commitments are met in a commercially viable and meaningful way
Promote PiLONs social value achievements through marketing, social media and industry engagement campaigns
Support contract tenders with insights and innovative social value solutions
Collaborate with stakeholders, clients, and local organisations to deliver measurable community benefits
Ensure compliance with social value frameworks such as HACT, TOMS and ESG reporting requirements
Track and report social value performance, ensuring accurate data capture and continuous improvement
Organise and attend community events, career fairs, and social value-related engagements
Work closely with internal teams to provide training and awareness on social value best practice
Identify and implement new social value initiatives that align with PiLONs strategy
Do you have what it takes?
Previous experience in Social Value, ESG, community engagement or responsible business - ideally in construction or infrastructure
Commercially astute with an understanding of how social value impacts contract delivery
Strong relationship-building skills, engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels
Creative thinker, integrating social value into business strategy
Confident decision-maker, able to balance compliance, impact and projects profitability
Organised, self-motivated and adaptable, thriving in a fast-paced environment
Experience in negotiating with clients and partners to find mutually beneficial solutions
Understanding of marketing, communications or PR
Desirable, but not essential
Experience in social media and marketing, to showcase social value achievements and case studies
