About the role
We are currently seeking Care Companions to join our team at our Wembley Residential Home. This is a unique opportunity to make a profound impact on our residents' lives by helping them maintain their independence and enjoy the highest quality of life.
You will assist our residents in uncovering interests and passions, as well as encouraging activity involvement and spending one on one time with residents who prefer more one to one interaction.
As a Care Companion who is therapy focused you will spend time interacting with the residents, assisting them in activity participation as well as working with the carer team and wellbeing co-ordinator to identify opportunities for our residents and assisting in the delivery of activities and one on one involvement.
Two roster patterns are available:
* Roster 1 (Week 1 and Week 2: Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun 09:00 – 17:00)
* Roster 2 (Week 1 and Week 2: Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Sun 12:00 – 19:00)
About you
Your confidence in your ability to provide exceptional care to our residents will enable you to create a positive and welcoming environment. You will be bubbly and vibrant with a can-do attitude and flair for creativity.
The following experience and qualifications will see you to success in this role:
* Certificate III/IV in Aged Care
* Effective organisation and time management skills
* Effective communication skills both written and verbal
* Able to work on your own but also as part of a bigger team.
* Understanding of your own safety and others in the workplace
* National Police Clearance (issued within the last six months)
