About The Role
FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Front Office Developer Team Lead to work for our client within the Financial Services sector. This role is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to extend and will be hybrid based in London.
As a Front Office Developer Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in leading a dynamic team of developers, ensuring the successful delivery of front office development projects. Your leadership, technical expertise, and ability to foster collaboration will be essential in driving innovation and excellence within the team. This role aligns with our client’s values of integrity, excellence, and innovation.
Responsibilities
1. Manage a team of developers, including a senior developer, a mid-level developer, a developer who handles business analysis, and a technical business analyst.
2. Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
3. Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
4. Oversee project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
5. Serve as the release gatekeeper, ensuring smooth and timely releases of software updates and enhancements.
6. Assign small tasks to a wider group of developers based on project requirements, optimising team efficiency and productivity.
7. Provide technical direction and solutions for front office development projects, leveraging your deep understanding of industry best practices and emerging technologies.
8. Ensure code quality and adherence to best practices, conducting code reviews and implementing robust testing procedures.
9. Be proactive in reviewing pull requests, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to project standards.
About You
Requirements
1. Expert in technologies such as .net, Azure, C#, SQL Server, and Git using Git Flow, and have a working knowledge of Angular.
2. Proven experience in a leadership role within a front office development environment.
3. Strong technical expertise in front office development, with a deep understanding of industry best practices and emerging technologies.
4. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with business stakeholders and team members.
6. A proactive and innovative mindset, with a passion for continuous improvement and learning.
