Job Description
The role will report to the Director of Wealth Operations, and the key areas of the role are as follows:
3. Day to day management of Paraplanners
4. Tracking paraplanners competency and training needs
5. Running quarterly reviews for your direct reports
6. Perform end of year remuneration review meetings
7. Training team members and supporting their development
8. Produce and analyse management information
9. Actively manage and take responsibility for the performance to your team
10. Undertake peer reviews for the paraplanning team, provide feedback and identify areas for further training/development
11. Running and maintaining the Paraplanner bonus scheme
12. Getting involved in project work to further improve our systems and processes
13. Reviewing and documenting procedures
14. Maintaining templates and tools
15. Analyse client information and existing investments/plans
16. Maintain a level of paraplanning work to support as overflow for the team
17. Tax calculations (IHT/CGT/bonds etc)
18. Construct appropriate solutions for clients in conjunction with the advisers
19. Write suitability reports for cases of varying complexity
20. Run Cashflow models for clients
21. Be a point of contact for technical queries for CS and advisers
22. Communicating with clients on research and report time scales
23. Attend client meetings where required
Responsibilities
24. Ensure all work completed by yourself and your team is accurate and completed to a high standard
25. Work with the Paraplanners in your team to develop them and ensure they have the support they need to progress
26. Keep clear and up to date records relating to the management of your team
27. Ensure your team is hitting appropriate targets and deadlines
28. Take responsibility for the for the management information provided by your teams to ensure it is accurate and up to date. Think client when you are writing a report to ensure the report is client friendly and easy to digest
29. Taking ownership of the clients experience by ensuring you effectively manage your cases throughout the process
30. Ensure all e-mails, research documents and report drafts are saved to our file storage system with meaningful titles
The Successful Applicant
31. Completed, or be well on their way to completing their Level 6 Advanced Diploma in regulated Financial Planning
32. Demonstrate a strong technical knowledge and understanding of all financial products
33. Experience within the financial services industry and have had at least 5 years Paraplanning experience
34. Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
35. Ability to communicate effectively with departments across the business as well as clients
36. Ensuring you are a good role model to other members of the team by being proactive and positive
37. Being comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment that experiences lots of developments and changes
38. Be organised and able to manage a busy workload
39. Being a good team player and offering to help the team where you can
40. Confident in running training sessions/meetings
41. Happy to share knowledge and experience with the wider team
42. Have strong IT skills; experience of Curo, FE Analytics and Voyant advantageous
43. Take responsibility for your own development including being aware of your knowledge gaps and actively working to close these gaps
