We are a dynamic and collaborative company focused on sustainability, seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor at Comanos, you will play a crucial role in managing project costs and ensuring financial targets are met for renewable energy projects.
Your Responsibilities:
* Cost Estimation and Planning: Develop accurate cost estimates for renewable energy projects, considering labor, materials, equipment, and other factors.
* Procurement: Oversee the procurement process, including tendering, contract negotiation, and vendor management, ensuring cost-efficiency and compliance with project requirements.
* Budget Management: Monitor and manage project budgets to ensure costs are controlled throughout the project lifecycle.
* Cost Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports, highlighting variances and providing recommendations for cost control.
* Contract Administration: Manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions and handling any variations or claims.
* Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize financial impact on projects.
* Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering and project management teams to ensure cost-effective project delivery and alignment with project goals.
* Compliance: Ensure all project activities comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
What We Offer:
* Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Experience: 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably working for a consultancy within the renewable energy or construction sectors.
* Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of cost estimation, budgeting, and contract management principles.
* Software Proficiency: Proficient in quantity surveying software and BIM (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, or similar) and MS Office Suite and using AutoCAD and reviewing design drawings.
* Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail.
* Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
* Certification: Professional qualification (e.g., MRICS, AAIQS) is advantageous.
Remuneration:
* Salary: £62,500 - £67,500 per annum based on experience and qualifications.
