The role of the Network and Partnership Development Manager is to work with the Thrive Together Portfolio Manager and to manage the Thrive Together regional ‘cluster’ Partners in defined geographical regions, to identify and build a meaningful network of organisations delivering support to veterans across the following areas, including but not limited to:
* Armed Forces Covenant, Civil-Military Partnership Boards, Armed Forces Networks
* Armed Forces Champions (NHS, DWP, Local Authorities)
* Veterans Covenant Healthcare Alliance, AFN, Social care organisations, GPs
* Armed Forces commands and bases (Covenant Duty of Due Regard)
* Single-service Armed Forces Associations
* Drop-ins and Breakfast clubs
* Local businesses (especially AFC ERS members)
* Ops (Courage, Nova, Restore, Fortitude, Community, Prosper)
* Regional and National Veterans support providers
Network Co-Ordination and Communication
To work with the Thrive Together Portfolio Manager, VOS Communications Officer, and Thrive Together Partners to manage network development events, including to:
* Develop and coordinate physical and virtual forums bringing practitioners together using regular online forums
* Deliver an annual regional conference, to share best practice and strengthen the network partnerships
Other Duties
The Network and Partnership Development Manager will act as deputy Thrive Together Portfolio Manager as and when required.
Experience
* Experience of building and maintaining positive relationships with diverse stakeholders, partners, local groups and networks, with the ability to lead and motivate participation
* Experience in planning, executing and overseeing events and forums, and joint projects from start to finish, including managing timelines and budgets, evaluating activity, tracking metrics and data throughout to measure outcomes and impact
* Knowledge of promoting events through social media, email campaigns, and other marketing strategies (with the support of the VOS Communications Officer)
* Experience of creating effective communications and content for a variety of audiences and channels, including presenting information imaginatively to create impact and enable people to be inspired to take part (with the support of the VOS Communications Officer)
* Experience of maintaining accurate records and database of contacts
* Proven ability to develop and manage budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure financial accountability
* Ideally have an understanding and commitment to the mission and values of the Charity
* Ideally have knowledge of or experience of the UK veteran community
Skills
* Ability to set and work to goals and targets, project management and project planning skills
* Strong verbal and written communication to build rapport and convey ideas clearly
* Strong organisational and time management skills; prioritising tasks and managing deadlines
* Ability to plan and manage own time and workload
* Understanding of how partnerships fit into broader organisational goals and strategies, and in building and maintaining positive relationships with diverse stakeholders
* Evaluation skills, data tracking and analysis including outcome, attendee satisfaction and addressing their needs before, during, and after the event
* Procurement knowledge for example sourcing and coordinating with suppliers, caterers, venues, and other service providers
* Ability to work with a wide range of people, with cultural awareness and sensitivity to the differences that may affect collaboration, especially in international partnerships.
* Proficient IT skills including the use of the MS Office 365 suite of products
* Understanding of GDPR
