Assistant SENDCo/Cover Teacher Salary: Mainscale/Upper Pay scale SEND allowance Working Pattern Full Time Contract Type: Permanent Required From: January 2025 An exciting opportunity has arisen at Lark Hill Community Primary School to appoint an Assistant SENCo/Cover Teacher. This post would suit a professional who is looking for the opportunity to share and/or develop teaching and learning for SEND pupils. The successful candidate will teach 2-3 days per week covering in mainstream classes. The remainder of the week, 2-3 days, will be to support the needs of children with SEND and medical needs and work with the Assistant Headteachers/SENDCo by putting in place support to remove barriers to learning, monitoring provison and modelling inclusive, adaptive teaching strategies. Our school works in partnership with Christ Church CE and Lewis Street Primary Schools and has an Executive Headteacher. Each school has an Enhanced Resource Provision (ERP) for pupils with EHCPs for Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. We are passionate about inclusion and nurture. We are looking for a highly skilled, enthusiastic and creative teacher who has been teaching for a minimum of three years. The successful candidate will: Have experience of planning and teaching across at least two phases in a Primary School. Promote and model the school values of NURTURE, ACHIEVE and RESPECT. Have the ability to self-evaluate learning needs and actively seek learning opportunities Have a good understanding of effective SEND provision.
