HSE Advisor Role – Highway Projects in North Lanarkshire
Are you a dedicated Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) professional seeking your next career opportunity? Our client, a globally renowned engineering infrastructure solutions provider, is looking for an HSE Advisor to join their team permanently, focusing on highway projects in North Lanarkshire.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Promote a strong culture of health, safety, environmental, and quality awareness among leadership teams.
2. Lead by example, ensuring compliance with HSE standards and promoting best practices across multiple projects.
3. Provide expert advice on legislative updates and best practice policies, supported by accurate reporting and data.
4. Ensure team readiness by delivering effective communication, training, and competency evaluations.
5. Develop, implement, and maintain HSE procedures and manuals to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
6. Support audit processes, manage accreditations, and oversee the resolution of audit findings.
7. Investigate incidents, providing clear, detailed, and timely reports to prevent recurrence.
8. Deliver tailored training based on lessons learned from past and ongoing projects.
Key Qualifications:
1. At least 2 years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong preference for highway/ groundwork project experience.
2. Previous experience in a health and safety advisory role.
3. NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate (additional environmental or auditing qualifications desirable).
4. CSCS certification.
5. A valid full UK driving licence.
