We are actively seeking a Restaurant Manager to lead our amazing team in our flagship restaurant RenMor following a multi-million pound investment programme. Main Responsibilities: Lots to do, but lots of fun As the RenMor Restaurant Manager you will be expected to ; Lead by example with regard to service standards as required for a two-rosette restaurant. Deliver a truly warm and welcoming experience for all guests in the restaurant. Work with the team to ensure that guest expectations are exceeded at all times in all areas of restaurant service delivery. Ensure a full understanding of billing to ensure guests are charged correctly, EPOS is always maintained with the correct pricing and the team are trained accordingly to the agreed policies to ensure no losses. Possess an outstanding knowledge of all food, wines, bar, cooking techniques and allergy requirements to ensure guests can be advised appropriately at all times. Possess an outstanding knowledge of restaurant and bar service styles. Overseeing shifts and remaining hands on within the operation. Always ensure the restaurant is consistently presented, with a strong focus on quality, cleanliness and hygiene. Competently manage the ordering and control of stock items ensuring availability at all times. Help manage the heart of house service areas to include cleanliness, hygiene, stock control and wastage. Maintain strong and effective relationships with the kitchen team. To have the ability, confidence and capability to deal with any guest or staff concerns. Be responsible for coaching, training and mentoring the restaurant front of house team. Optimise sales and work alongside our Executive Head Chef and his brigade to develop the business. The Ideal Candidate Are you right for us? Our appointed Restaurant Manager will have; Previous managerial experience in a successful, vibrant, high volume restaurant. A strong background from within hotel or restaurant sector, preferably at a 5 luxury star standard. Strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing). Exceptional organisational skills. Possess a keen eye for detail. Have a passion and strong knowledge for all things food and beverage. An understanding of the ingredients we use, cooking methods and understand various dietary requirements. The determination to create a memorable guest experience. Drive to work within the pressure of a busy luxury restaurant environment. WSET level 3 would be an advantage. About The hotel; Five star Cornwall, not formal Are we right for you? Contract This position is offered on a permanent contract, working 45 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
