This manufacturing company is a specialist in advanced manufacturing and machining solutions supplying high end customers across multiple sectors offering a design to delivery service. They operate with state of the art machinery, and have grown to become the leading 1st tier supplier within the field they operate. They have ambitious plans to double and potentially even triple their turnover in the next five years, firmed up with contracts already in place and strong prospects. This role will report directly into the Finance Business Partner working collectively in a team of 8 and produce the monthly accounts for the main engineering business. You will have 2 supporting transactional team members (credit control and purchase ledger) that will essentially process the invoices and collect and allocate payments, and your role will be to take the accounts through the trail balance, calculate accruals and prepayments, journal entries, balance the balance sheet, and support with analysis and year end. You must be a strong and experienced assistant accountant that is keen to take a step up with more responsibility OR an experienced management accountant that can hit the ground running and provide sound support from day 1. (Salary will be reflective of experience) You must be AAT qualified or equivalent as a minimum. Or part qualified / qualified CIMA. Qualified by experienced candidates will also be considered. You must have strong excel skills, and be a competent system user, their current finance system is outdated and in the process of review and hence strong accounting knowledge is essential to make the best use of their system. As a person you must be technically able with month end preparation, who is a self-starter but operates with a team mentality and be able to work with initiative. Salary for this role will ideally be between £30,000 and £40,000 but with some level of negotiation beyond financially and also with study support required. Your daily start and finish times can be agreed upon appointment to suit, along with hybrid working when competent to work alone.
