Purchasing Assistant opportunity for a successful and expanding manufacturing business based in Mitcham area (CR4). The company is in great shape, exceeding all its targets and with new funding in place to support further growth plans. Salary guide: £32,000. 25 days holiday, plus the 8 bank holidays. Free onsite parking available. This is an onsite role – Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Joining the Procurement Department as a Purchasing Assistant, you'll be involved in a broad range of purchasing and sourcing activities. Responsibilities will include: Support with supplier accreditation and performance management. Initiate new supplier accounts and manage stock levels. Work closely with suppliers to improve delivery, pricing, and explore new products. Monitor project spend and profitability, achieving savings. Monitor stock levels and review orders via MRP system. Create new stock codes and coordinate with the warehouse. Collaborate closely with Production, Sales and Accounts. Skills & Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in Purchasing/Procurement/Order Processing. Good IT skills including MS Office. Excellent communication skills. Previous experience of working in a Manufacturing environment may be an advantage but is not essential.
