About this role: Crystal Palace FC Academy are looking for driven, reliable, and passionate people to strengthen the scouting in the YDP phase department. Ideally located in South London, the chosen individual will play a key role in building relationships with local grassroots clubs and identifying talented players at Youth Development phase ages. As the club continues to establish itself as a Category 1 Academy, we are keen to develop our scouting and talent identification. Successful candidates would need to be available to watch grassroots games in South London at weekends and have an existing knowledge of local football in South London. You will need to have a proven track record of building relationships in the local community and experience of identifying talent in the local area. Responsibilities: Identifying and monitoring local grassroots talent to join our Academy by attending games and tournaments in South London Helping to build and maintain relationships with local grassroots clubs & coaches. Writing reports to help improve knowledge of players via the club’s scouting system. Attending CPFC Academy Talent ID events and showcase games as requested by your coordinator. Liaising with your coordinator and communicating your weekly scouting activity. Ensuring you are available to attend recruitment department meetings and CPD events. Upholding and promoting the Club’s policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities policies and procedures. Be available to attend up to 4 games per week Other duties and responsibilities as required by line manager.
