Previous experience in a similar background or retail would be beneficial but not essential as full training on all aspects of the role will be provided.
The role is a customer-facing position and involves the negotiation and purchasing of products at competitive prices from the public, as well as preparing, testing, and selling of products. You should have a keen eye for detail and good numeracy skills. The successful candidate should be confident, enjoy interacting with customers, and be capable of working alone.
A driving license and own transport are essential, as you may be required to complete training and work at branches located in the towns of Brynmawr, Ebbw Vale, and Abertillery.
An understanding of the latest technology such as mobile phones, game consoles, computers, and televisions would be advantageous, as would knowledge of gold and silver jewellery.

Some of the day-to-day responsibilities will involve:
1. Selling online (eBay)
2. Using in-house ePos system
3. Providing PayPoint Services
Staff are helped and encouraged to maintain up-to-date knowledge of:
1. Jewellery identification and hallmarking
2. Mobile Phones, Gadgets, Computers
3. Home Entertainment, Audio, Visual
4. Tools and Equipment
Duties will involve:
1. Greeting and serving customers in stores
2. Testing and preparing stock items
3. Negotiating purchase pricing with customers
