The role Are you interested in developing a career in repairs and maintenance for a leading Social Housing provider? If yes, then this may be the perfect opportunity for you We're looking for 2 Apprentice - Multi Trade Technicians to join our Direct Services Team. Reporting to a Lead Technician and / or Head of Service, you'll be supported and mentored by Operational Technicians in undertaking repairs and maintenance tasks, working across Portsmouth & Worthing. The apprentice role will operate with a hybrid approach, with the successful candidate working and learning alongside colleagues in the workplace as well as being supported through an accredited level 2 property maintenance apprenticeship programme. As an apprentice, you MUST: be willing to study English & Maths alongside their chosen programme (if not exempt) have been working in the UK for the last 3 years not currently in any other form of education You may also undertake a range of repairs related surveys, prepare specifications, post-inspect, and schedule works with other colleagues such as Maintenance Surveyors, Lead technicians, and Schedulers. As a member of the Direct Services Team, your primary focus is to support the department in providing a high quality, responsive maintenance service to all residents, internal colleagues, and our partners; whilst maintaining high productivity, value for money, and customer satisfaction at all times. The role is being offered on a Fixed Term Contract until the 31st March 2027. What you'll have A basic knowledge / awareness of Health and Safety. You'll be polite and courteous, whilst instilling confidence and providing credibility to colleagues and customers alike. The ability to organise your own workload in a methodical way for maximum effectiveness and efficiency. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent 'time management' skills. You'll be committed to studying, learning, self-development and complete an agreed qualification.
