A 12 month fixed term contract role has become available to cover an upcoming maternity leave. This role co-ordinates all payroll processes during an employee’s life cycle and provides first line support and advice to managers and employees on all aspects of Reward and Remuneration.
The post holder is required to be self-motivated, committed and organised with excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages. Experience of implementing and/or using Workday would be a distinct advantage.
What will you be accountable for?
* Oversee the end to end monthly payroll process for over 1100 employees and over 1100 pensioners on time and accurately
* Be responsible for the year end process and returns, including running the year end RTI process, year end reconciliation and issuing of P60’s and P11D’s
* Be responsible for reviewing and providing up to date and accurate information in relation to life assurance and private medical insurance.
* Be responsible for the reporting and payment of french deductions
* Review allowances to ensure they meet legislative requirements
* Prepare monthly pension reconciliations and ensure contributions are made in line with statutory requirements
* Be responsible for processing pensions in line with auto-enrolment rules and re-auto-enrolment
* Ensure holiday pay is calculated and paid correctly in line with government guidance
* Complete monthly payroll reconciliations for CEO
What do you bring to the role?
* CIPP diploma level or equivalent
* Demonstrable payroll system experience
* A full driving license
* Competent with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
* Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
* Team focused
* The ability to communicate confidently with internal and external stakeholders of all levels
* Commitment to process improvement
