Clinical Leadership: Expected to maintain a visible presence in the clinical areas and provide strong leadership and role modelling in promoting evidence based clinically effective tissue viability care. Contribute to the implementation of a strategy for acute and chronic wound management, creating objectives and targets in line with the overall aim of the post. Education and Training: To support the TVN Clinical Nurse Specialists with training and education programmes about tissue viability to all levels of staff and disciplines. Focusing on ward-based training. Research and Development: Identify educational needs with staff and clients. Support the TVN CNS to deliver training programmes based upon agreed protocols and standards of care.Work with the Tissue Viability team to design and manage the organisation of relevant study days, courses, and conferences as appropriate. Patient Advocacy: Support the TVN Clinical Nurse Specialists to guide medical and multi-disciplinary staff, patients and carers in matters relating to meeting the standards and protocols for tissue viability and wound management across the Trust. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, care plans, and interventions, adhering to Trust and professional standards. Policy Implementation: Contribute to the development, implementation, and review of tissue viability policies and procedures to standardise best practices across the organisation.
