An exciting opportunity has become available for a Pastoral Welfare Officer at a primary school in the L25 area. This newly created role is ideal for an experienced educator passionate about supporting young people in key areas of pastoral care.
Key Information:
* Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent (with a permanent contract offered following a successful trial period)
* Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
* Schedule: Term-time only, plus 5 INSET days
* Start Date: January 2025
About the Role:
The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing the school's pastoral care, addressing pupils' mental and physical needs to help remove barriers to learning.
Main Responsibilities:
* Provide guidance and support to pupils, promoting their social, emotional, and personal development.
* Deliver targeted interventions (both one-on-one and group sessions) to improve pupils' wellbeing.
* Build strong, positive relationships with parents, carers, and staff.
* Support the attendance team in improving pupil attendance.
* Provide first aid and medical assistance as needed.
