Role Overview As a Business Development Manager within the Inspection Sales team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the sales strategy for your designated industry sector. Your primary focus will be on identifying, approaching, and qualifying new customers to drive long-term, profitable business growth.
Key Responsibilities Customer Acquisition: Lead efforts to secure new customers through presentations, negotiations, and follow-ups, ensuring all necessary documentation is produced.
Prospecting: Actively seek out new contacts within your sector to expand the customer base.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to identify and develop new service and product sales opportunities.
Sales Delivery: Achieve sales targets by promoting products and services, aligning with strategic goals and adopting a solution-oriented sales approach.
Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends and customer business drivers to inform sales strategies and identify growth opportunities.
Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with decision-makers within client organisations to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
CRM Utilization: Effectively use the CRM system to track sales activities, manage customer relationships, and maximise sales effectiveness.
Sales Forecasting: Provide accurate monthly sales forecasts and contribute to annual budget planning.
Reporting: Analyze market trends and report insights back to the business to inform strategic decisions.
What Our Client Offers Competitive salary starting from £45,000, based on experience.

Candidate Profile Experience: Proven experience in the Inspection sector (LOLER, PUWER, PSSR) in either sales or as a Field Engineer.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of regulations within the Engineering Inspection and compliance market.
Skills: Exceptional sales, communication, and presentation skills with a track record of delivering results.
Prospecting: Extensive experience in prospecting and developing new business opportunities.
Relationship Management: Excellent relationship-building, influencing, and negotiation skills.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, particularly in preparing detailed proposals and utilising CRM systems.
Customer Engagement: Experience working directly with customers in their environments.
Sales Growth: Demonstrated success in developing sales functions and exceeding revenue targets.
