Commissioning Manager - Yorkshire Water Projects - Tier 1 Contractor
J3A Recruitment are excited to be supporting a UK Market leader within the Engineering & Construction world.
Following a highly successful AMP period with a view to kick on again for AMP 8, they are now looking for an experienced Commissioning Manager to come on board and play a pivotal role in supporting the completion and handover of high-value engineering projects.
Role of the Commissioning Manager
1. Managing the Commissioning engineers on the ground to help with Commissioning activities.
2. Overall responsibility for Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation (MEICA) installations.
3. Plan and co-ordinate the off and on-site process and MEICA commissioning activities.
4. Ensure that commissioning requirements are considered from the earliest stages of project delivery.
5. Work closely with Project Teams and Commissioning Engineers to safely deliver all commissioning outcomes.
Day to day duties of the Commissioning Manager
1. Work with Project Teams and Yorkshire Water to generate Commissioning Plans.
2. Put in place robust commissioning processes and procedures that reflect the Company and Yorkshire Water requirements.
3. Identify and recruit sufficient competent resources to deliver the framework commissioning requirements.
4. Work closely with our Project Managers to provide technical expertise and deliver all commissioning activities cost-efficiently and in accordance with the contract programme.
5. Provide monthly commissioning reports to the Framework & Senior Leadership Team.
To be successful as Commissioning Manager
1. Technical knowledge covering Mechanical, Electrical and Chemical Engineering Commissioning.
2. Proven experience in commissioning activities within the water / wastewater sector.
3. HNC qualified in a mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering subject.
4. SMSTS safety qualification is desirable.

1. £65,000 salary for the right person (dependent on experience).
