In this varied role you will support the GIS team on geospatial elements of projects, helping us to produce high quality deliverables and best practice guidance. You will assist with data mining, interrogation, mapping and analysis – managing and collecting data from desk and site-based surveys, as well as third party sources. This will facilitate the clear and concise presentation of results in written reports.

About you
You’ll have an understanding of, and be passionate about the marine environment. You will have obtained a degree qualification in GIS, Geography, Environment, or Oceanography. You will be super organised with strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and have great attention to detail. You will have experience and knowledge of geographic information system software such as ESRI, QGIS or MapInfo, and will be familiar with geographic and mapping principles.
We expect that at this career level you’ll be in the office for the majority of the week, soaking up the knowledge available around you. Therefore, you must live within daily commutable distance of our Southampton office, or be willing to fully relocate prior to starting work with us.
