We are a twenty-five-year established creative sector training provider developing talent, transforming lives and creating careers.
Over 500 young people enrol onto our vocational study programmes, at Uplands House and Digital Futures, apprenticeships, traineeships and adult learning courses.
BCT also operate Creative Works and Big Creative Independent School.
Big Creative Independent School is BCT’s single-form alternate provision for 14-16-year-olds who have disengaged with formal education. BCIS cover Maths, English, Science, Music and Media.
Creative Works is BCT’s co-working space in E17’s Creative Enterprise Zone, for creatives and SMEs. Beyond providing offices, meeting rooms and studios, CW host an events programme and offer members the opportunity to collaborate with locals through BCT’s apprenticeship scheme.

Desirable Skills
1. Experience with Adobe Photoshop/After Effects/Premiere – modelling, concept art/textures
2. Experience of working professionally in a relevant creative industry/as an entrepreneur
3. Experience with Autodesk Maya/Blender - animating, skinning, rigging, texturing, 3D modelling
4. Experience with Unity/Unreal Engine - animation-to-engine pipelines
5. Drawing and art skills
Key Tasks
1. Plan and deliver exciting lessons supporting learner progression, that relate to their needs and interests
2. Promote safety, wellbeing and safeguarding (CPOMS)
3. Record attendance and academic notes on Arbor MIS
4. Track learner progression on the allocated Google Sheets
5. Develop innovative opportunities for interdepartmental and intradepartmental project collaborations
6. Use a range of assessment methods and provide outstanding and prompt feedback to inspire learners
7. Complete learner one-to-one tutorials and individual learning plans on a bi-termly basis
8. Facilitate the wide-range of enrichment trips and guest speaker events arranged across the year
9. Work towards a stable learner retention and qualification achievement rate
10. Undertake in-house training to remain up-to-date with awarding body expectations
11. Support learners to prepare for their assessed end-of-year project
Essential Qualities
1. Extremely organised and able to manage your own workload effectively and flexibly
2. Highly motivated and driven to succeed
3. Outstanding teaching and communication skills and understanding of Ofsted framework
4. Solution-focused and able to respond to data trends
5. Assertive and confident in learning environment management
6. Ambitious and committed to meeting targets, setting standards of behaviour and work
7. Empathy towards the many challenges faced by young adults in a demographic with high free school meals rate and poverty levels
8. Excellent communication skills
9. Visual scripting/programming skills
Essential Qualifications
1. Maths and English GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent (Level 2)
2. Degree/relevant qualification in the subject area
Salary and Days of Work
1. 35 hours across 5 days a week for 52 weeks per year
2. 35 days of annual leave plus UK bank holidays
3. This is a fixed-term full-time position until 31 Jul 2025
4. Start Date ASAP
5. Annual salary will depend on experience teaching experience and qualifications:

Salary Structure:
1. Unqualified £28,000
2. Newly qualified 3 years’ experience £42,000
