Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in accounts, and supporting the overall financial health of the organisation. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of accounts payable processes.
Duties
1. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are recorded in a timely manner.
2. Process accounts payable, including verifying invoices and preparing payments.
3. Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow effectively.
4. Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
5. Assist with year-end audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors.
6. Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial compliance and accuracy.
7. Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices to enhance the bookkeeping process.
Skills
1. Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks is essential.
2. Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
3. Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
4. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
6. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with team members and stakeholders.
