Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality and engaging French & Spanish lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
* Inspire students to develop a love for the French & Spanish language and culture, helping them achieve fluency and confidence.
* Use creative teaching strategies to enhance students' language skills and cultural understanding.
* Plan, prepare, and deliver effective and well-structured lessons.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and support to ensure continuous development.
* Participate in the wider school community, contributing to extra-curricular activities and language-related events.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote the success of the Modern Foreign Languages department.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Is already a HOD or 2 i/c/experienced teacher that is looking for the next step up.
* A degree in French/Spanish, Modern Languages, or a related subject.
* Previous experience teaching French at Key Stage 3 and 4 (A-Level experience is desirable but not essential).
* Passion for the French/Spanish language and culture, with the ability to inspire and engage students.
* Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.
* A proactive and enthusiastic approach to teaching and extracurricular involvement.
