Job Title: Digital Manufacturing Integration Engineer
Location: Coventry (with travel to other UK Manufacturing sites as required)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Digital Manufacturing Integration Engineer to support forward planning teams in delivering virtual manufacturing feasibility assessments. This role involves the preparation and integration of 3D CAD data, virtual build event support, and process validation across multiple vehicle programs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and synchronize product and process data from multiple sources (3DX, GSPAS, APT, Excel) into the eMS system.
* Create and maintain 3D digital mock-ups of facilities, assemblies, and closure positions using eMS and VisMockUp tools.
* Conduct root cause analysis and error resolution for data issues in source systems.
* Import and position 3D plant facilities and equipment data to create Process Oriented Resource Structures (PORS).
* Support migration of Manufacturing 3D Resource Libraries from Teamcenter (TCe) to 3DX, including cleanup and optimization.
* Plan and execute Virtual Integration Build Events across various vehicle platforms, generating agendas, tracking issues, and managing follow-up actions.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Facilities, and Programme Teams.

The ideal candidate will bring a solid blend of digital manufacturing expertise, automotive industry experience, and cross-functional collaboration skills. They will thrive in a technical environment focused on 3D data preparation, virtual build event execution, and process improvement across global vehicle programs.
Core Technical Experience
* 2+ years' experience in digital manufacturing, CAD integration, or virtual build support roles.
* Proven experience working in OEM or Tier 1 environments (automotive or aerospace) with complex product structures and manufacturing operations.
* Strong working knowledge of:
* eMS (Engineering Manufacturing System)
o 3DX (Dassault Systèmes – CATIA, DELMIA)
o Teamcenter (TCe)
o GSPAS, APT, and Excel for process/build sequence data
o VisMockUp / Teamcenter Visualization
o PLMXML / JT data formats and transformation
* Understanding of BOM-to-process linking and experience with Process Oriented Product Structure (POPS) and Resource Structure (PORS) in a manufacturing simulation context.
* Familiarity with 3D facility modeling, station-level layouts, and digital twins.
Manufacturing Process Awareness
* Working knowledge of assembly processes across BIW, Trim & Final, and Plant Facilities layouts.
* Ability to interpret manufacturing feasibility risks, align digital content with physical constraints, and understand line balancing or ergonomic concerns.
* Capable of translating digital builds into actionable shopfloor improvements.
Automation & Data Scripting
* Basic experience with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, VBA, or XML handling) to troubleshoot or optimize data import/export and CAD allocation scripts.
* Able to support ongoing toolchain improvements or collaborate with software teams on digital integration automation.
Project & Program Awareness
* Familiarity with milestone-based engineering frameworks (e.g., GPDS, APQP, or gated programme timing plans).
* Comfortable managing virtual build timelines, syncing plans with gateways, and understanding cross-platform dependencies.
Communication & Issue Management
* Confident in leading or supporting Virtual Integration Build Events, including the creation of session files, event agendas, and issue tracking logs.
* Skilled in documenting and driving resolution for feasibility issues using CCAR (Concern, Cause, Action, Resolution) or similar structured methods.
* Able to present status updates, reports, and lessons learned clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Collaborative across teams, including Manufacturing, Facilities, and Programme Engineering.
* Comfortable working in hybrid or global team settings, including coordination with offshore resources.
* Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented.
