Support Worker We are an employee-owned supported living organisation who specialise in providing bespoke packages of support to people with learning disabilities and complex needs who wish to live in the community in their own home. We support adults & young people with learning disabilities, Autism, physical disabilities, support with and positively respond to?peoples behaviours. This is an amazing opportunity to work with a wonderful young person who lives in their own home. They have Autism & Learning Disability & are supported to communicate their wishes & needs, they are Deaf and require their staff to be fluent in BSL. They like structure & routine in their day & enjoy a range of activities, such as visiting new places, going on walks, going to the park. We need support staff who will work with the person for the long term, to build trust & strong relationships with them. We need positive loyal, committed staff who are fun & enjoy having a laugh & being a little silly to enrich their live. We are recruiting a Full-Time Support Worker in Gateshead this role requires a qualification of level 2 or above BSL (British Sign Language). Or your background is such that you are fluent in BSL. £14.20?per hour &£109 per sleep in - average annual salary £35,200 (based on 40 hours a week and 1 sleep a week)This role involves working weekends, evenings, sleep ins.
