Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a substantive Band 8a Team Manager for CAMHS Crisis. Our CAMHS Crisis team are a dynamic and responsive team, serving children and young people who require immediate support to manage their mental health crisis.The team provide urgent assessment and home treatment interventions within the community. Within the role of Team Manager you will be responsible for the operational and clinical delivery for the assessment & home treatment offer. The team's remit includes providing urgent assessment across LLR, responding to young people and their parents/ carers who contact NHS 111; a 24 hour line which provides support and advice and liaison, providing urgent assessment within Leicester Royal Infirmary both in the emergency department and the children's hospital. The team are well embedded within the CAMHS umbrella, working closely with other teams to provide robust packages of care to children and young people. There are opportunities to further develop how this service can be delivered across the county and the post holder will work closely with colleagues within the team to continue to deliver high quality care, whilst shaping the service. Within the senior leadership team learning and development opportunities are supported both through in-house training and external provision. We provide extensive support and supervision within our team and service. Main duties of the job The post holder will provide visible, accessible and authoritative clinical and managerial leadership for CAMHS Crisis, which includes Assessment & Home Treatment, Urgent Assessment Hub, 24 hour phone support and Crisis Plus liaison service.They will ensure care quality performance and high-quality clinical activity.
