Take the next step in your career as a Payroll Officer in Christchurch! You'll be part of a team which manages the Citycare Group’s payroll for over 1,300 employees, ensuring accurate and timely payments for both salaried and waged staff. Using the PayGlobal system, you'll handle payroll queries, maintain compliance with policies and regulations, and assist in preparing reports and reconciling accounts.
The Payroll Team is part of the Citycare Group Finance function which supports all four businesses within the Group: Citycare Property, Citycare Water, Spencer Henshaw, and Apex Water. Group Finance sits within the Citycare Property business.

We’re seeking a payroll professional with experience in large payroll cycles, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to integrity and discretion in handling employee pay and personal information.
Experience:
* Minimum of 2+ years' experience in Payroll.
* Working knowledge of payroll best practice and New Zealand payroll related legislation and requirements.
* Prior experience with using PayGlobal.
* Familiarity with collective agreements.

* Strong planning, organisational ability and self-management skills.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
* A high level of attention to detail to maintain accurate payroll records, calculations and reporting.
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
