Registered Children's Home Manager
Location: Northampton City Centre
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum plus bonuses

We are excited to announce the opening of our brand new 3-bedded EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) children's home located in the heart of Northampton. Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people, helping them to achieve their full potential.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Children's Home Manager to lead and manage our new children's home. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties, and the ability to create a supportive and therapeutic environment. Experience in setting up a new home is desirable but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the day-to-day management of the children's home, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
2. Lead, manage, and develop a team of care professionals, providing supervision, support, and training.
3. Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of the children and young people.
4. Ensure the home provides a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for all residents.
5. Manage the home's budget, resources, and administrative tasks efficiently.
6. Promote and maintain positive relationships with external agencies, families, and the local community.
7. Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and other statutory requirements.
8. Develop and implement policies and procedures that reflect best practices in the care of children with EBD.
9. Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, implementing improvements where necessary.
10. Handle safeguarding issues promptly and effectively, ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
2. Previous experience as a Registered Manager in a children's home or similar setting.
3. Experience in setting up a new children's home is desirable but not essential.
4. Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and other relevant legislation.
5. Excellent leadership, management, and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
7. A passion for working with children and young people with EBD.
