The Opportunity
The Application Support Engineer will be responsible for providing application support to our customers while working within a busy dynamic team. The support will involve technical guidance, investigation, diagnosis and resolution of customer impacting incidents and problems for our bespoke products/solutions.
The role will involve:
13. Identification, recording, investigation, diagnosis and resolution of Incidents/Problems within agreed SLA’s.
14. Monitoring Azure API Management Service.
15. Using Azure inbuilt tooling to analyse logs and trends (e.g. App Insight and KQL).
16. Providing support for Azure Function Apps, ensuring smooth operation and performance.
17. Managing Azure Storage Accounts, including blob, file, queue and table storage.
18. Overseeing Virtual Networks (VNets) and ensuring proper network architecture and security.
19. Understanding and supporting Azure DevOps practices to streamline development and deployment processes.
20. Escalating incidents to 3rd party support providers, managing their investigation through to successful resolutions, within agreed SLA’s.
21. Providing SME support in internal and customer facing external meetings
22. Fulfilling assigned Service Requests, within agreed SLA’s
About You
To be successful in the Application Support Engineer role you will be someone that comes from a similar role with experience in Software Developing, preferably in .net and C#.
You will also have/be:
23. IT degree educated in a Computer Science or IT Discipline or equivalent experience
24. ITIL 4 Foundation
25. Knowledge of Azure
26. Knowledge of AWS
27. Excellent communication at all levels
28. Experience escalating incidents when required.
