Retail Store Assistant
£12.21 per hour plus benefits
Reports to: Shop manager
Department: Trading
Location: Port Talbot
Contract: Permanent
Working hours: Part time, 7.5 hours per week

Role overview: We’re seeking a motivated store assistant to join our trading team. You’ll act as an ambassador for Cancer Research UK, engaging with the community, representing our brand, and supporting our initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
1. Providing excellent customer and supporter service.
2. Working as part of the shop team to achieve sales and fundraising targets.
3. Maintaining shop standards, visual presentation, safeguarding compliance, and health and safety.
4. Building relationships with the community and colleagues.
5. Supporting fundraising events.
6. Taking keyholder responsibilities (training provided).
7. Performing manual handling and physical activities as required.
Candidate requirements:
* Understanding of great customer service.
* Experience in a busy customer service environment.
* Ability to manage workload independently.
* Ability to work well in a team.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Flexibility to work on a rota basis, considering personal commitments.
