Sub Agent - Infrastructure Location – Norwich, Norfolk Purpose of the role: As a Sub Agent, you will assist the Site Agent and Project Manager on larger value schemes, to achieve the required project delivery to the customer’s objectives while maintaining standards of health and safety, quality, environmental impact and cost control. What you will be doing: Site Management Maintain commercial performance of the contract Be responsible for the successful delivery of projects Produce and manage the project programme and supervise the delivery of it Report to the Project Manager on progress and performance. Understand and interpret drawings and specifications Ensure all site team and supply chain are working to the latest design information. Ensure Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), Permit to Work systems, site inductions and safety briefings are correctly carried out. Provide engineering expertise and support to the project team Undertake material take offs where required and ensure materials are ordered and reconciled. Understand any temporary works requirements. Undertake value engineering solutions. Ensure all staff, subcontractors and visitors are properly inducted, meet the competencies required of them and hold relevant qualifications and tickets Undertake an ambassadorial role, representing the Business to customers, the public and official bodies Deliver product to customer satisfaction Produce good quality, accurate monthly reports for the Client and internally Chair weekly Subcontractor site meetings in line with Company procedures Implementing and attending, daily, weekly and monthly site meetings. Obtain all ‘as built’ information ensuring that it is accurate and relevant Conduct regular H&S checks and CDM audits. Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and problems that may arise. Ensure and maintain strict quality control procedures. Ensure site team keep site diaries up to date. Effectively lead and manage direct reports ensuring appropriate competence is maintained, including annuals PDR’s. Monitor capability of staff and contractors to undertake current and prospective workloads and report to senior management. Identify/assist in introducing new process, techniques and innovations on site Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment. Day to day management of a section of works including the supervision & monitoring of the site team & supply chain. Plan, control and monitor the progress of the works and coordinate the section(s) of the project as allocated. Ensure any changes in scope (operations, commercial, programme or design) are captured and managed. Attend external meetings as required with clients and stakeholders, building effective relationships.
