As the Technical Systems & Security Projects Manager, you will be a part of the Group Security Operations team, with specific responsibility for the management of technical security systems at all Johnson Matthey’s (JM) facilities worldwide. The role will be responsible for the establishment of fit for purpose maintenance contracts through a robust supplier selection process, contracting and subsequent supplier relationship management. In addition, the role will be overall supervisor for assigned project(s), installations, and maintenance for security systems globally. This will include significant capital projects for new build plants along with ongoing equipment replacements on more established sites.
This role ensures that all projects are developed, implemented, installed, and managed in accordance with the company's requirements, including but not limited to safety, quality, management, and financial performance with the goal of keeping Johnson Matthey’s safe and secure.
Your responsibilities:
1. Responsible for maintaining the five-year equipment replacement schedule to deliver well maintained and operable security systems.
2. Liaises with Procurement, Legal and Security stakeholders in multiple countries to deliver effective supplier management for the technical security systems.
3. Maintains vendor relations and contractual agreements including establishing and monitoring KPI’s, maintenance contracts and escalation protocols and subsequent supplier relationship management across the global footprint.
4. Leads on project support requirements for the build of technology security solutions, from strategic planning to specific initiatives, supporting and managing the evaluation, integration, and implementation of vendor solutions.
5. Responsible for the governance process for the review and authorisation for security expenditure for technical security systems, delivered with finance across Johnson Matthey.
6. Responsible for the generation and upkeep of documented processes for the correct design, procurement, installation, and maintenance of technical security systems working in partnership with JM IT.
Requirements for the role:
7. Vocational qualifications such as: ASIS PSP, CSPM, Prince2, PMP
8. Recognised qualifications in Security or Business Management at degree level or equivalent
9. Experience with physical access control, intrusion detection, video management, PSIM and architecture.
10. Detailed Knowledge of various leading security systems including but not limited to HID, Genetec, Mercury, Axis, Ibex Gallagher, Milestone, Optex, Exacqvision, Kaba, Magnetic and Gunnebo etc.
11. Working knowledge of IT networks: LAN/WAN, Intranet/Internet, Firewalls and strong EHS knowledge, ideally IOSH or NEBOSH certified.
12. Vendor management and project management experience and ability to lead projects by setting priorities, measurable objectives, cross-functional dependencies, planning, resourcing, scheduling, budgeting, implementation, and subsequent monitoring with informal authority.
Special factors:
13. Travel - 20% local travel will be required, travel beyond local area may be required on an ad-hoc basis
