Our client is seeking a Senior Safety HSE Advisor on an 8/6 roster initially for a 3 month period with a possible extension of an additional 3 months (flying out on Tuesdays AM and returning PM the following Tuesday).
The Senior OHS Advisor reports to the OHS Superintendent and the primary role is to develop and maintain effective safety health and training programs providing prescribed training ensuring a high standard of record keeping and monitoring workplace safety through regular inspections within the Safety Health and Training Department.
Requirements
* 3 years experience in Occupational Health and Safety including experience in a remote FIFO environment
* Recognised tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline
* Lead Auditor Qualifications
* Sound understanding of risk management processes preferably ICAM
* Sound understanding of INX modules and application across a mining company
* Senior First Aid certificate or equivalent
* Current C Class Western Australian Drivers Licence
Experience and Knowledge
* An understanding of mining and minerals processing operations
* Knowledge of safety programs and recognised safety management systems
* Detailed understanding of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations
* Experience in incident investigations workplace inspections and audits
* Knowledge of induction and safety training programs and initiatives
* Knowledge of change management processes
* Good computer skills with the ability to use integrated management systems word processing presentation and spreadsheet applications
* Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to positively influence others
