A client within the Public Sector based in South Yorkshire is currently recruiting for a Health and Safety Advisor to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience working within a local authority in a health and safety advisory environment. The Role Key purpose of the role is to provide specialist support and guidance to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, guidance, and best practices, while fostering a positive health and safety culture across the organization. Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Providing professional advice, guidance, and training to ensure compliance with national legislation and local policies. Conducting audits, inspections, and investigations, and implementing control measures to address risks. Developing and delivering health and safety training programs to staff and contractors. Collaborating with senior officers to identify and manage occupational risks effectively. Ensuring systems and processes are in place for reporting and investigating incidents. Maintaining strong working relationships with enforcement agencies and external stakeholders. The Candidate To be considered for this role, you will require: NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety. Technical Membership of IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health).The following skills and qualifications would be beneficial: NEBOSH General Certificates in Fire Safety, Construction Health and Safety, or equivalent. A recognized training qualification (e.g., AET, PTLLS, or equivalent). Strong experience in delivering face-to-face health and safety training and audits. Proficiency in using ICT applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. Remuneration The client is looking to move quickly with this role and, as such, is offering £24.12 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (£19.50 p/h PAYE).
