Title: Technical Specialist -LCMS/GCMS Location: North West of England Duration: Permanent Our client is looking for a Technical Specialist within GCMS and LCMS techniques to join their expanding team in the North West of England. Responsibilities: Lead method development and validation projects, from initiation to final documentation Lead investigations into client complaints and resolve issues Validate analytical methods to ensure accuracy and reliability Manage and schedule instrument repairs and maintenance Monitor and ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of analytical methods Conduct audits of methods as part of the UKAS 17025 accreditation program Troubleshoot analytical issues and apply problem-solving skills Possess expert knowledge of instrument software and its application Contribute to capital expenditure planning and needs Investigate and report non-conformities in work processes Minimize rework through continuous monitoring and improvement Identify team training needs in methods and procedures, ensuring ongoing competency Provide guidance and assistance on queried results Investigate staff deviations from procedures and implement corrective actions Review processes and offer advice to improve productivity Adhere to Health and Safety policies and company procedures Proactively identify and raise Health and Safety concerns Collaborate with the Team Leader to enhance safety, environment, and staff well-being Report any near-misses or incidents to the line manager Requirements: You will be a technical expert in LCMS and GCMS with experience in troubleshooting of the instrumentation. A BSc or equivalent in a scientific discipline Experience in method development -GCMS/LCMS GCMS/MS or LCMS/MS experience is advantageous In depth knowledge or analytical instrumentation techniques Previous experience in training others in GCMS and LCMS Sound understanding of Quality Management Systems Experience in troubleshooting instruments
