This post creates a great opportunity for an individual to help and support the Network Services division to transform services to meet the needs of cancer patients now and in the future. The post holder will lead and support change projects across the division that may involve partner organisations. The post will support specific improvement projects that target tangible improvements in patient experience, clinical outcomes, efficiency, cost, and other benefits aligned to the Christie strategy. The purpose of this role is to support service and technology-enabled change across the organisation. The post will support the delivery of service transformation programmes and projects at the Christie. This post will involve specific improvement programmes and projects targeting tangible improvements in patient experience, clinical outcomes, efficiency, cost, and other benefits aligned to the Christie strategy. The role will support and lead on large scale, defined transformation projects and programmes that are key priorities for the Divisions Transformation portfolio. Excellent communication and client engagement skills are essential to this role as there will be challenges towards changes in working practice. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring delivery of programmes within agreed timescales and budgets. Our transformation team is a small team who work with the wider team within the division and is an integral part of the divisions ability to deliver on its strategy over the next few years.
Main Duties
* Work with the divisional teams to aid the delivery and development of projects and programs to enhance patient care and provide efficient services.
* Support the teams to scope, define and plan a project, identifying benefits and efficiencies.
* Analyze key issues within a service to identify areas of improvement using appropriate tools, including audit, process mapping, RCA, and data collection.
* Contribute to cost efficiency projects and working groups to identify CIP, working closely with our clinical and admin teams as well as the wider multidisciplinary teams.
* Be responsible for undertaking production of both routine and complex reports and presentations that may contain medical technical or financial terminology, tables, and graphs using Trust data.
* Produce reports that contain sensitive change and performance data; also includes creating, updating and giving PowerPoint presentations on this.
Project Management
* Responsible for deputising for Networked Services Transformation Manager where required.
* Lead and co-ordinate project teams, ensuring projects are managed, supported, and delivered in line with the planned and agreed timescales.
* Monitor and evaluate changes in practice through the collection of high-quality and timely data, using electronic and paper systems as required.
* Identify and establish mechanisms to quantify, develop plans to mitigate and monitor risks, issues or barriers.
Training
* Preparation, delivery and facilitation of training to divisional staff as required.
Communications and Leadership
* Be a point of contact for divisional transformation, dealing with verbal enquiries and correspondence in an effective, courteous and timely manner.
* Influence and align others towards a common purpose to empower and inspire people to achieve project success.
Planning and Organising
* Planning of long-term deliverables on a number of interdependent activities, regularly monitoring and adjusting plans as required.
* Manage the identification, planning and delivery of benefits.
Research, Development and Audit/Data
* Regular development and collation of information to enable audit and monitoring of CIP progress and problem identification/reporting.
Freedom to Act
* Work autonomously, prioritising own workload.
Other Duties
