Job Description
Our client is a well known manufacturing company which manufactures a range of household appliances. They are looking to hire a Financial Controller to join their head office in Crawley.
This is an office based role, 5 days a week.
Duties
* Production of financial information including profit and loss accounts, sales & margin reports, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis etc
* Assistance in the production of the annual budget and periodic forecasting
* Ongoing review of cash flow and production of forecasts
* Analysing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
* Production of annual statutory accounts & liaison with Auditors.
* Responsible for all activities related to Regulatory/HMRC compliance issues (VAT, Payroll, Intrastat, WEEE etc)
* Balance sheet account reconciliations and review of intangible assets
* Treasury functions, bank reconciliations, credit control etc.
* Production of Consolidated Accounts and complete the necessary Covenant calculations as required by the Bank
* Ensure compliance with all financial regulations
* Manage Finance Department of 4 staff covering Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll/HR including day-to-day communication and motivation as well as succession planning and performance management
* Other tasks as required by the Directors
Requirements
* Qualified Accountant with suitable experience
* Working knowledge of Sage X3 (essential)
* Proven technical ability
* Understanding of modern management information systems
* Ability to manage, delegate, motivate, monitor and control team activity
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial management
* Intellectual with a strong commercial acumen
