Job Duties:
1. Provide support and assistance to primary school students with special educational needs
2. Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students
3. Work closely with teachers to create a positive learning environment
4. Help students with personal care and mobility needs
5. Support students in classroom activities and during break times
Required Qualifications:
6. A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desired but not compulsory
7. Experience working with children with special educational needs
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
9. Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
10. Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
11. Previous experience in a similar role within a school setting
12. Knowledge of special educational needs practises and strategies
13. Ability to adapt support techniques to meet individual student needs
Preferred Qualifications:
14. Additional training in special educational needs
15. First Aid certification
Working Conditions:
16. Working hours may vary depending on school requirements
17. May involve physical activity such as assisting with student mobility
18. Potential exposure to challenging behaviour from students
19. Regular collaboration with teaching staff and educational specialists

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
