We offer a stimulating and engaging curriculum that covers a wide range of topics, from biological psychology and cognitive psychology to social psychology and developmental psychology. About the Role: Teach Psychology across Key Stages 4 and 5, with the possibility of contributing to PSHE lessons. Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities. Use a range of teaching methods and resources, including experiments, discussions, case studies, and research projects, to bring Psychology to life for students. Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys. Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our Psychology curriculum remains relevant and challenging. Foster a love of Psychology in students, encouraging them to explore different psychological perspectives and develop their understanding of human behaviour. Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in Psychology education. Ideal Candidate: Holds QTS or equivalent (or is eligible to apply). Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Psychology. Demonstrates a passion for teaching Psychology and a commitment to student success. Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills. Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Has a good understanding of the National Curriculum for Psychology and relevant examination specifications. Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
