About the opportunity : We are looking for an experienced Children & Youth Support Man a ger to come and join us and play an important role in growing the portfolio of our support programmes we have within Everton in the Community ; bringing together teams, partners and resources to drive service improvements that improve the lives of children and young people. Reporting to the Senior Manager – Youth and Support, you will ensure accountability for our targeted support areas, programme performance, budget management, meeting reporting deadlines and providing support and guidance, alongside ensuring the alignment of programmes within the area under the ambit ions and o bjectives of the charity’s Trinity Project, (five-year strategy ). You will be accountable for the operational functioning of the support pillar on a day-to-day basis, leading and developing the support-based initiatives, target ing the most high-risk and vulnerable young people aged 8-25 years old. The programmes offer intense support and positive interventions to individuals who face man y challenges, whether that be homelessness, involved in criminality, struggling with in education or family breakdown. Who we are looking for : We are looking for an individual with integrity and the ability to inspire commitment, enthusiasm and confidence from colleagues, participants, Trustees, and the wider community. The successful candidate will hav e previous experience in the support and development of young people, and be able to demonstrate patience, empathy and a non-judgemental attitude towards both colleagues and young people. Other key Knowledge and Skills will include: Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. The ability to co-ordinate and manage programme delivery to a high standard To communicate timely and professionally with funders and key stakeholders in a professional manner T o be fully IT literate with the ability to use MS Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Moviemaker) Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of different audiences VRQ/NVQ Level 2 in Youth Work or other relevant qualification Full UK driving Licence The core hours for this role will be 35 hours worked flexibly across the week including evening work. Primary location s will be at Goodison Park and the EITC Campus, although you may be required to work at any other location deemed suitable by your manager.
