Overview
Responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations of the practice which includes, but is not limited to: providing supervision and direction to the practice staff, assisting in training new staff members and continued training for existing staff, conducting monthly and/or weekly staff meetings, promoting customer service, analyzing operations, and improving processes to provide better patient services and improve the revenue cycle. This role also maintains favorable relations between physicians, patients, hospital administration, and Medical Group departments, and supervises staff performing revenue cycle activities ensuring daily adherence to policies regarding scheduling, pre-registration, registration, charge capture, point of service payments, insurance verification, financial counseling, and quality monitoring.
Responsibilities
* Assist in training new and current team members and continuing education as needed, i.e. CPR certification, POCT, CHAA, and all required electronic systems.
* Conduct monthly staff meetings, weekly rounding, and safety huddles. Analyze operations and needs to improve processes utilizing PDCA. Maintain Athena dashboards and reports.
* Partner with other Office Coordinators across the BMG network.
* Oversee daily charge capture, registration, point of service payments, insurance verification, financial counseling, and quality monitoring.
* Participate in the interview process, comply with orientation process, and ensure timely onboarding of new team members.
* Complete payroll edits and alert manager within specified timeframe.
* Hold team members accountable for submitting requests and corrections in a timely manner. Participate in coaching, counseling, and disciplinary action processes.
* Motivate by recognizing, rewarding, and reinforcing positive behavior and exemplary performance.
* Deal effectively with team members experiencing performance and/or behavior problems.
* Oversee answering service needs and provider/staffing coverage requests.
* Maintain healthcare providers' call schedules.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Five years of medical office experience.
* DE Driver's license with no more than 3 moving violations.
Competencies and Skills
* Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Able to keep confidential information regarding patients and team members.
* Able to withstand crisis situations.
* Skills to provide customer service to patients, team members, and visitors.
* Proof of current/valid car insurance.
* Knowledge and experience with electronic health records.
* Valid DL with no more than 3 moving violations.
Compensation
Entry: USD $68,889.60/Yr.
Expert: USD $106,787.20/Yr.
