The University Hospitals Southampton NHS Foundation Trust hosts the Thames Valley & Wessex Neonatal Operational Delivery Network (ODN). The purpose of the ODN’s are to improve access to services, provide consistency and standardisation and where appropriate improve quality. We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and organised person to contribute effectively to the network programmes.
The role of the Neonatal ODN Education Project Support Officer is to manage and deliver on a range of defined education projects and tasks with demanding deadlines. The post-holder will contribute significantly to the development and co-ordinated delivery of the network’s work programme in line with national and regional priorities with a focus on Quality and Improving Value.
You will work closely with multiple stakeholders across the Network, both clinical and non-clinical. You will facilitate multi-professional teams to come together to develop solutions to complex problems. You will need experience of team working and to be skilled in producing clear communications of project/programme requirements and deadlines. You will provide full administrative support to all members of the team, ensuring that there are effective administrative systems and procedures in operation.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Manage and be accountable for clearly defined projects within the ODN work programmes.
Oversight of finance process including Oracle. Responsible for collaborative future finance planning, tracking finance, reports and budget management under the direction of the Education Leads.
Manage the incoming email communications where there may be complex and sensitive information and escalate accordingly. Communicate complex information that may require sensitivity and diplomacy.
Be responsible for the organisation of education meetings and events / conferences ensuring all appropriate stakeholders are involved, in liaison with the Network Education team.
You will mostly be working from home and the majority of communication will be via MS Teams or email. You will undertake some visits to teaching facilities and neonatal units across the region. The hours can be split across two or three days to meet the requirements of the service.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Educated to degree level or able to demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge and skills.
Previous experience of working in an NHS environment and ability to interact with all disciplines of staff.
Project Management Support experience.
Experience using/managing online learning platforms.
Full driving licence and ability to travel within the Network.
