Project Engineer Reporting to : Project Delivery Manager Location : Predominantly field/remote work, limited presence at office Purpose of the AV project engineer: Project Engineers operate as the eyes, ears and facilitator of all things site related for our projects. Completing a team of three, including a Project Manager and Project Administrator, you will be the primary presence on site and charged with ensuring that everything that each project requires to run smoothly is in the right place at the right time. Under the day-to-day direction of your Project Manager, you will work in unison with the Project Administrator to take the lead on the everyday site elements of your projects allowing the Project Manager time to focus more on the wide elements of the project such as design, documentation, scheduling, finances etc. Responsibilities for AV Engineer Typically, the duties of the Project Engineer will include: Identify and coordinate all site requirements to ensure a smooth installation Capture site requirements in terms of consumables and deliveries, coordinate with the Project Administrator and/or create sales orders and shipments as required through Microsoft Dynamics. Represent Design Integration at site meetings in lieu of the project manager when they are unable to attend. Capture and feedback status updates on a weekly basis in addition to any immediate actions resulting from meetings etc. with required actions and updates to the wider delivery team. Attend handovers in person or via video from the sales team in respect of new projects and co-ordinating kick offs with the in-house teams. Liaising with our design team on system evaluation, drawings and other documentation required to support our deployments. Undertake technical site surveys as requested by the Project Manager Compose RAMS and Toolbox talks. Ensure these are distributed, signed and filed. Arranging site setups i.e., DI Site Chest / Printer / WiFi Rack Start engineers off on site and serve as the main POC for daily calls / requests Coordinating snagging and arranging return visits in conjunction with PM and PA Undertake installation duties as required to complete project. Handing over projects to the client upon competition and ensuring overall quality of installation/ Ensuring quality & finish is to a high standard and as per the MS OneNote handbook Undertaking first responder onsite service or commissioning support where a fast turnaround is required with back up from remote engineers. In addition to the practical responsibilities above the Project Engineer will also be required to uphold the following ethics: To be an enthusiastic team player capable of meeting deadlines and going the extra mile to ensure timely project completions. This is an exciting opportunity, applicants will need to be able to demonstrate a good all round technical knowledge of AV, experience in the management of projects and a superb customer manor. Overall work ethic and attitude is essential. The role will involve foreign travel, mainly within the EU, with the ability to be able to deploy at short notice.
