Accounts Assistant Location: West Byfleet Shifts Hours: 0900-1830 Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 Office Based Job and after the initial training period, there will be the opportunity to work 4 days in the office and 1 day from home. Main outline of the job: The role of the Accounts Assistant is essentially to provide accounts services within the department as outlined below during the hours as stipulated within the contract of employment. Duties and Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive support as directed. Attend all meetings/standardisation/training sessions as requested by senior management. Ensure currency of knowledge in your own field is always maintained. Always adhere to all company policies and procedures whilst acting in a professional manner. Position in Organisation: Responsible For: Carrying out all duties and tasks assigned by the Head of Finance and Senior Management team. Responsible To: The Head of Finance in the first instance and subsequently, any member of the Senior Management team. Budget Responsibilities: No direct budget responsibility. General Responsibilities: UK Operations: Processing and invoicing orders on both Sage and Promos, including dealing with queries. Uploading all UK Sage webstore invoices to the main ledger. European Operations: Processing European invoices on Promos (including obtaining PODs, amending queries, sending invoices to clients, and updating Bulgarian accounts). Invoicing all European webstore orders on Sage. General Tasks: Assisting with other administration tasks such as setting up new webstore accounts. Creating manual invoices, BD, and gift certificates invoices. Assisting in other Promos invoicing. Uploading invoices to the portals. Helping with all other general enquiries. Building effective customer relations. Assisting in reconciling credit cards. Dealing with invoice queries and liaising with suppliers and the admin team for resolution. Skills needed to fulfil this role: Experience with ERP systems, i.e., Sage 50 Accounts, Promos. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be AAT Level 3 (QB) or Level 4 AAT. Tenacity. Ability to clearly explain financial matters. Business acumen. High attention to detail. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritise a busy workload.
