Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Bagshot, Surrey (Office-based role)
Contract Length: 3 months
Working Hours: 9hrs per day (Start time - 8am)
Overview:
We're seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to provide commercial support on infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing contract management, commercial reporting, and assisting with contract negotiations. This is an office-based role, located in Bagshot, Surrey, and is aimed at candidates with proven experience in senior-level Quantity Surveying within the infrastructure sector.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and provide commercial support for infrastructure projects.
* Assist with contract negotiation and offer contract support throughout the project lifecycle.
* Prepare and submit regular commercial reports, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
* Monitor project costs and advise project managers on any cost variances or potential risks.
* Ensure compliance with NEC contracts, particularly Options C and E.
* Work within the CEMAR environment, ensuring the correct handling of all contract-related documents and notifications.
* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure the smooth operation of commercial aspects of the project.
* Take responsibility for identifying, assessing, and managing commercial risks and opportunities.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the commercial team.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within infrastructure environments.
* Strong knowledge of NEC contracts, specifically Options C and E.
* Essential experience dealing with National Highways projects.
* Experience working within the CEMAR environment is highly desirable.
* Strong commercial acumen and a detailed understanding of construction contracts.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and reporting skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* Familiarity with standard industry practices and regulations
