We’re looking for an enthusiastic Agriculture Audit Manager to lead a team of Assessors and play a key role in ensuring high standards across Agricultural Assurance Schemes. You’ll be at the forefront of assessments on farms, covering Arable, Produce, and Livestock sectors, ensuring compliance with documented procedures. A key part of your role will be actively mentoring and training Assessors, ensuring their ongoing development and performance. If you’re a driven leader with a passion for agriculture and quality, this is your chance to make a real impact Responsibilities Including, but not limited to: End to end management of Assessors, managing the full process from recruitment and onboarding to final sign-off. Providing support and guidance to assessors as their first point of contact Conduct witness audits during onboarding and routine witness programme Facilitate shadow audits, during onboarding and regular performance monitoring, ensuring top-tier standards. Take charge of conducting thorough assessments based on client-specific standards Deliver precise, comprehensive assessment reports within customer agreed timelines, meeting scheme and procedural requirements. Stay ahead of industry trends, regulations, and developments, ensuring your team is always in the know. Be ready to take on short-notice audits in diverse areas, showcasing your flexibility and expertise. Tackle special project work and other audit tasks, driving continuous improvement in Audit Delivery. Achieve a utilization target of 50% fee earning work each month Qualifications Hands-on farm experience, and knowledge within a diverse range of farm enterprises Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently and patiently with both farmers and colleagues, ensuring clarity and understanding A highly enthusiastic and energetic individual, driven by a keen eye for detail and a strong passion for improving industry standards Proven ability to manage conflict and navigate challenging situations with professionalism and calm Strong time management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and meet deadlines efficiently Competent in general IT skills, with the ability to adapt to various software tools Travel is required to sites that are accessible by car, so a full UK driving license is required NVQ Level 3 in an agricultural-related subject is preferred, though not essential. Lead Assessor course certification and Level 3 HACCP are preferred, but not essential. Previous auditing or training experience is a plus, though not a requirement. Management experience is advantageous, but not mandatory.
