Are you passionate about supporting young learners in developing their reading and writing skills? Axcis Education is seeking a proactive and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join a reputable primary school in the St Helens area.
About the Role
In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in delivering phonics sessions both one-to-one and in small groups. You will support children within their daily studies across all subject areas within the classroom and will be specifically timetabled for additional phonics sessions to ensure the children receive the best possible support with their reading and writing.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver phonics sessions to children both one-to-one and in small groups.
2. Support children's daily studies across all subject areas within the classroom.
3. Utilize various phonics schemes such as Little Wandle, Read Write Inc, Letters and Sounds, etc.
4. Create a supportive and engaging learning environment to help children develop their literacy skills.
5. Collaborate with teachers to implement personalized learning strategies and track student progress.
Requirements
1. Experience with any phonics scheme (Little Wandle, Read Write Inc, Letters and Sounds, etc.) is considered.
2. Specific training in delivering phonics schemes is a bonus but not essential.
3. A genuine passion for supporting young learners in their educational journey.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work proactively and independently, as well as part of a team.
6. Enhanced DBS clearance.
