Job: Complex Needs Support Worker
Location: Various locations - North London
Rate: £18 P/H
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of people experiencing homelessness? We are seeking dedicated Complex Needs Project Workers to join our team in London, supporting adults with a history of homelessness and rough sleeping.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage a caseload of 8-12 clients, conducting regular key working sessions to develop person-centred, trauma-informed support plans.
2. Complete thorough risk and needs assessments and create risk management plans.
3. Work collaboratively with external agencies to address client needs such as mental health, substance use, and complex trauma.
4. Support clients to maintain accommodation, maximize their income, and build budgeting skills.
5. Assist clients in accessing work, education, or training opportunities.
6. Prepare and let rooms promptly, manage referrals, and ensure the safety of the premises through regular checks.
7. Promote recovery-focused activities and support peer involvement within the service.
What We're Looking For:
1. Experience working with clients who have complex needs, including homelessness, mental health challenges, or substance use.
2. A non-judgmental, trauma-informed approach to supporting clients through change.
3. Strong partnership working skills to achieve positive outcomes for clients.
4. Proven ability to manage challenging situations calmly and effectively.
5. Knowledge of financial support systems and an understanding of professional boundaries.
6. Strong IT and administrative skills to maintain accurate records.
