Information Technology Operations Manager
We are seeking an experienced IT Operations Manager to lead a skilled technical team, ensuring excellence across IT service delivery, infrastructure management, and client relationships. Based near Twickenham, this is a hybrid role requiring a blend of technical expertise and strong leadership. You'll drive operational efficiency, oversee major projects, and help establish long-term strategies to support organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead a team of senior and remote engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
2. Create and enforce training plans, performance reviews, and professional development opportunities.
3. Conduct regular one-to-one meetings to provide feedback and establish clear objectives.
Technical Oversight
1. Serve as the top-level escalation point for complex technical issues, ensuring swift resolution.
2. Manage IT systems, including Windows Servers (2016–2022), Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and advanced networking setups.
3. Oversee compliance with Cyber Essentials, GDPR, and other regulatory frameworks, ensuring robust security and data governance.
Project Management
1. Oversee significant IT projects, including infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and deployment strategies.
2. Conduct site evaluations and pre-sales consultations, ensuring accurate scoping and delivery.
3. Establish comprehensive documentation for all systems, processes, and project deliverables.
Client Engagement
1. Build strong relationships with clients, acting as their trusted technical advisor.
2. Attend client meetings and participate in pre-sales discussions, offering expert guidance on IT solutions.
Candidate Profile
Experience & Expertise
1. Proven track record in IT operations, with at least 7–10 years of relevant experience, including technical leadership.
2. Expertise in managing Windows Servers, Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and networking (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet).
3. Experience with tools like SolarWinds, VMware, and system imaging solutions.
4. Background in delivering IT transformation projects and process improvements.
Skills
1. Strong client-facing and communication skills, capable of handling high-pressure situations with professionalism.
2. Ability to define structured processes and enforce best practices.
3. Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a focus on delivering efficient, scalable solutions.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect or Cisco CCNP preferred. ITIL certification or similar is advantageous.
Other Requirements
Valid UK driver’s license with access to a vehicle. Proximity to Twickenham, with the ability to attend on-site and client locations as needed.
